Pines Village Continuing Care Retirement Community is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activity Assistant/Memory Care to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care team. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our residents by planning, coordinating, and facilitating engaging recreational, social, cognitive, and wellness activities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with older adults and creating meaningful experiences that promote independence, dignity, and resident engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement daily activity programs for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
• Lead group and individual activities designed to support residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being.
• Coordinate special events, entertainment, holiday celebrations, and community outings.
• Encourage resident participation and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment.
• Develop and publish monthly activity calendars.
• Maintain activity records and documentation as required.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, families, volunteers, and other departments to meet resident needs.
• Assist with transporting or accompanying residents to activities and community events when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six (6) months of activity programming experience in an Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, or Long-Term Care setting preferred.
• Experience working with residents with dementia and memory impairment preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to be creative, enthusiastic, and resident-focused.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills preferred.
• Ability to work occasional weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
