Surgical Dental Assistant – Hands-On Patient Care

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.
- Provides positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor. Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.
- Monitor patients during IV sedation procedures in accordance with state regulations and office protocols., take blood pressure as needed.
- Takes X-Rays, CBCT imaging, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.
- Records treatment information on patient’s charts, schedules appointments, and provides follow up and post op direction and instructions to patients.
What You Need:
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program
- 2 years of Dental Assisting experience required, 3+ years surgical assisting preferred
- Prosthodontics experience: including bone grafting & implants
- Skilled in utilizing standard surgical office equipment including Autoclave, statim, model trimmer, Panoramic/CBCT, oxygen, laser, intra oral camera, hand pieces, etc.
- CPR, BLS, & First Aid Certified
- Preferred experience in a periodontic, oral surgery, prosthodontic, or implant focused practice
- Preferred experience with digital workflows, intraoral scanners, and implant treatment planning software.
- Preferred knowledge of full-arch and hybrid implant procedures and advanced implant restorations.
