    Overview:

    2020 Companies, in partnership with Samsung Electronics America, is seeking a Quality Engineer II

    Pay: $85,000 annually

    Location: Plano, TX office (On-site required)

    Preferred: Bilingual in English and Korean

    Work Authorization:  Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States full-time without current or future visa sponsorship.

    The Quality Engineer II manages product quality activities throughout the post-launch lifecycle, using customer feedback, market data, and quality signals to identify trends, risks, and emerging issues. This role independently leads issue triage, root-cause investigations, escalations, corrective actions, and resolution while coordinating closely with customers, engineering, service, product, HQ, and other cross-functional teams. The Quality Engineer II also develops quality reports and management updates, tracks performance and corrective actions, improves quality processes, and guides junior team members. The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years of experience in quality engineering, product quality, consumer electronics, telecommunications, or a related field, along with strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.

    Job Description:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    ·    Monitor and analyze product quality signals, customer feedback, and market data to identify emerging issues, trends, and risks

    ·    Manage quality activities throughout post-launch product stages, including readiness reviews, early warning activities, and ongoing market monitoring

    ·    Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand quality concerns, requirements, priorities, and expected timelines

    ·    Lead initial issue triage, assess potential impact, and determine appropriate investigation, escalation, and follow-up actions

    ·    Coordinate product analysis and root-cause investigation with HQ, engineering, service, product, and other relevant teams

    ·    Manage quality-related escalations and drive corrective actions through resolution, validation, and closure

    ·    Track product quality performance and maintain accurate records of issue status, analysis results, decisions, risks, and corrective actions

    ·    Prepare and present quality reports, executive summaries, and status updates for management, customers, and key stakeholders

    ·    Identify and implement improvements to quality monitoring, issue management, escalation, reporting, and closure processes

    ·    Provide guidance to junior team members and support consistent execution of team processes and quality standards

    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience

    ·    Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, data analytics, business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience

    ·    Three to five or more years of relevant experience in quality engineering, product quality, consumer electronics, telecommunications, or a related field

    ·    Demonstrated experience with data analysis, issue investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and cross-functional coordination

    ·    Experience supporting external customers or customer-facing quality activities is preferred

    Core Competencies

    ·    Strong analytical judgment with the ability to interpret multiple quality signals and prioritize risk

    ·    Clear written and verbal communication, including concise management-level reporting

    ·    Ability to lead cross-functional follow-up without direct authority and manage multiple priorities independently

    ·    Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization or reporting tools
