Qualifications

Education:

 Bachelor's degree in Law. A Master's degree in Law or certificate in related fields is an advantage.

Experience:

•  Approximately 3 – 6 years of relevant experience gained from an in-house legal team, law firm, or a combination of both.
• Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, technology, or data privacy compliance is an advantage.
• Language : Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is required, with demonstrated ability to independently draft, review, and negotiate legal and commercial documents in English.

Skills:

•  Strong legal research and drafting skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Working Style : Proactive, responsible, willing to learn, and comfortable coordinating with different internal and external stakeholders.
• Professional Qualification : A lawyer's licence is an advantage but not mandatory.

• This legal role supports the company's day-to-day legal and data privacy compliance matters.

The role

is responsible for reviewing and preparing commercial agreements and other legal documents, supporting internal stakeholders within the group on legal and data privacy matters, managing company secretarial requirements, and coordinating with government authorities, regulators, and external counsel.

The role

is expected to independently handle routine and moderately complex legal and data privacy matters while working closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance. Main Duties & Responsibilities Contract Management : Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial agreements, NDAs, MOUs, service agreements, and other legal documents in English and the local language, including ensuring appropriate data protection and privacy clauses are incorporated, and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders through the execution process.

Legal Advisory:  Identify legal, contractual, and data privacy risks arising from business activities and transactions. Provide practical legal and data privacy support and advice to internal departments on day-to-day business activities and transactions, including guidance on personal data handling, data sharing, and compliance with applicable data protection laws, with appropriate escalation of material, sensitive, or complex matters.

Legal & Company Secretarial Support:  Handle all company secretarial matters and provide ongoing legal and regulatory support, including monitoring legal and data protection developments, conducting legal research, implementing compliance changes, liaising with regulators and external counsel, and managing disputes, claims and regulatory inquiries. Perform other legal and data privacy matters as assigned by the Head of Legal and Compliance.
