EHS Analytical Laboratory Technician (m/f/*)

As an EHS Analytical Laboratory Technician in the field of chemistry for the Global Environment, Health and Safety Laboratory located in Zwijndrecht, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

• Support liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) testing operations
• Processing environmental samples through every stage of the analytical workflow—from prepping sample containers and extracting target compounds to running LC-MS instruments and logging data
• Collaborate with researchers and lab technicians in different locations around the world

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, life sciences or chemical engineering
• Hands-on experience with basic lab equipment (pipettes, analytical balances, centrifuges, SPE manifolds)
• Strong volumetric techniques and understanding of dilution calculations
• Knowledge of sample preparation techniques including solid phase extraction
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Attention to details
• Curious and eager to learn 

• Proficiency in Dutch and English

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience in an industrial or commercial testing laboratory
• Experience in liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) instrumentation
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
