Cost Engineer Espresso

About the role:

Linking with development, marketing and finance to translate and consolidate data in financial project and product information to provide transparency about cost, efficiency and profitability.

The impact you’ll make:

Activities:
Estimates the cost of new propositions, new technologies and new products.
Consolidates the Total Cost of Ownership for projects prior to launch in due time according to the development phase and project planning.
Delivering cost efficient alternatives, ensuring fit to purpose.
Report and alert cost evolution, gap to target, risks and opportunities during product development.
Create financial simulations to enable make or buy decisions in due time along the development process.
Support the animation and renovation projects led by the LCM team.
Benchmarking activities:
Provides should cost (benchmark) calculations and brown field estimations of parts, products or changes to support negotiation with (potential) suppliers.
Participate in cost gap analysis between Philips branded products and competitors’ products
Interactions:
Collaborate with the project leader, the operations team (industrialisation, procurement, supply chain) to calculate the cost of the product ‘s Bill of Materials

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

• Education: Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
• Experience: R&D, purchasing, product Industrialization, technical sales (supplier)
• Skills: Analytical profile, ability to work and communicate among multi-disciplinary teams, ability to work with IT system

The salary range for this position is EUR 48,000 – EUR 55,000 gross annual (RAL - fixed compensation), corresponding to Level B3 of the CCNL Metalmeccanico (Code: C011), and determined by Versuni’s objective, gender-neutral career framework.

This position also includes a variable compensation component linked to company performance and/or structured incentive schemes.
