Patient Care Technician - Med/Surg

WinnMed is seeking to hire a Patient Care Technician to join our Med/Surg Team! Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) provide support top patients on the Med/Surg Unit, which is WinnMed's hospital in-patient department. PCTs provide basic patient care under the direction of RN staff. PCTs are also responsible for Unit Secretary duties, which include facilitating nursing station operations, coordination communication between patients, family, visitors, and health team members. PCTs are responsible for observing telemetry cardiac monitors and informing nursing staff of changes and/or life-threatening rhythms. .75 FTE (30 hours per week) available. Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation required. The schedule typically includes a variety of shifts, including overnights. 

• • Active CNA Certification on the Iowa Direct Care Worker Registry required
  • American Heart Association BLS (CPR) required within 30 days of hire; can certify at WinnMed
  • Previous PCT or CNA experience beneficial
