The Basics of a Teller:
- Part-Time; Non-Exempt
- Weekly schedules will be set between the hours of Monday thru Friday 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am -1:00 pm
What you'll do as a Teller:
In the Teller role, you are the face of the credit union. You will create a top-tier experience for our members by processing transactions, building relationships, and educating members on products and services that support their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create exceptional member experiences in the branch, drive-thru, and over the phone.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Process member transactions, including payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Sell money orders, stamps, cashier’s checks, and gift cards. Redeem savings bonds.
- Balance your assigned cash drawer daily.
- Process address changes, check orders, and foreign currency orders.
- Create debit cards for members.
- Assist members with accessing their safe deposit boxes.
- Complete branch opening and end-of-day procedures.
- Actively participate in volunteer events through our Greater Good program.
- Support risk mitigation by:
- Following established security protocols.
- Complying with BSA/AML policies and completing required training within 90 days and annually thereafter.
- Complete compliance and development training as assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Must Haves as a Teller:
- Skills: Customer Service, Verbal Communication, Attention to Detail, Tech Literacy.
- Experience: 1 year + experience in a customer-centric role.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Haves as a Teller:
- Experience: 6+ months of cash handling is strongly preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish & English.
