As a Host, a typical day might include the following:
- Greeting guests with a welcoming smile and providing them with fast, friendly service
- Managing reservations and waitlists, offering estimated wait times
- Assigning and escorting guests to their tables and lanes
- Setting up the dining room area and venue, moving furniture when needed
- Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
- Working well with others as you will be working with other hosts, servers, bartenders, support and management
- Remembering guest’s names and utilizing them when appropriate
- Building guest loyalty
- Maintaining a clean and stocked work area
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- At least 1 year previous hosting experience in a fast-paced bar/restaurant
- A neat and professional appearance
- Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
- Must have a friendly and welcoming demeanor, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills
