As Bar Back / Support, a typical day might include the following:
- Greeting guests with a welcoming smile providing them with fast, friendly service
- Assisting bartenders in all aspect of the guest experience
- Assisting guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Communicating guest needs to bartenders or servers when applicable
- Cleaning all glassware and bar tools as necessary
- Keeping work space and general bar area clean
- Maintaining a well-stocked bar prepared for all levels of service
- Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to all necessary guidelines
- Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
- Working well with others as you will be working with other bar backs, servers, bartenders and management
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- At least 1 year of direct bar back experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage and/or club environment required
- Current TIPS Certification is a plus and will be required if offered the position
- Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
- Must have the ability to complete the process for the Massachusetts State Gaming Commission license prior to starting
- A neat and professional appearance
- Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
