About the opportunity

This role is based at the Thomas Foods Stawell plant, Due to demand, we are reaching out to labourers to work within the Skins Department. Each position comes with the opportunity to pursue a stable, progressive, and rewarding career path within a safe and supportive environment.

Your role will include:

• Load and unload skins from the salt pods
• Inspect each skin for defects on both pelt and wool
• Trim pelt to standards and specifications
• Quality control through the detection of defects
• Prepare skins for the export market
• General labouring tasks

As a full-time, permanent employee, you will work 38 hours per week with overtime and weekend work available.

Previous experience in the meat processing / agricultural industry is not required. Applicants without prior work experience are welcome.
