Junior Legal Counsel

About the Role

The Junior Legal Counsel works to execute Legal Department activities. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting legal operations, contract administration, legal research, and legal intake management. As the Junior Legal Counsel, you will provide exceptional legal support to help continued growth of our fast-paced company. A-LIGN will depend on you to support contract review, legal request management, and legal documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the review of commercial and services agreements
• Support the preparation, editing, and administration of legal documents and templates
• Conduct legal research on various corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters
• Support the legal team in the management of legal requests and internal inquiries, including monitoring and triage of incoming requests and communications
• Forward legal tasks to appropriate team members based on subject matter and urgency
• Maintain and update the legal intake system to ensure timely and accurate processing of requests
• Maintain legal documentation and contract records
• Assist with document management, filing, and other administrative duties as needed
• Work closely with internal departments (Sales, Finance, HR, etc.) to support legal needs

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION

• Law degree from an accredited university in Bulgaria or the EU.

EXPERIENCE

• Recent graduate with interest in contract law or corporate law
• Previous internship or academic experience in contract law or corporate law is a plus

• Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of motivation
• Excellent communication skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work individually as well as collaboratively
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
