DC Inventory Control Assistant

Job Summary

You will be responsible for executing inventory control activities that ensure inventory accuracy, stock integrity, and compliance with warehouse operating standards. You will perform physical inventory counts, validate inventory transactions, investigate stock discrepancies, and support continuous improvement initiatives to maintain accurate inventory records and efficient warehouse operations across assigned areas.

This role focuses on

• Warehouse Operations & Functional Audit: Performs cycle counts, wall-to-wall inventory counts, and stock verification activities to ensure inventory accuracy. Validates physical inventory against WMS records, identifies inventory discrepancies, and supports inventory validation during operational activities and audit exercises.
• Risk Assessment & Inventory Validation: Applies established inventory counting procedures and validation standards to detect stock variances, location errors, damaged inventory, and other discrepancies. Escalates issues and supports timely investigation and resolution.
• Inventory Governance, Quality & Issue Resolution: Maintains accurate inventory records and documentation, validates inventory transactions, and assists in resolving inventory discrepancies to uphold inventory integrity.
• Operational Partnership & Communication: Coordinates with Receiving, Putaway, Replenishment, Fulfillment, and Warehouse Operations teams to validate inventory movements, resolve inventory issues, and ensure smooth execution of inventory control activities.
• Continuous Improvement & Process Compliance: Adheres to inventory control policies and SOPs while identifying opportunities to improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Participates in process improvement initiatives and supports the implementation of new inventory control practices and system enhancements..
• Capability Building & Team Support: Participates in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives, supports onboarding when required, and demonstrates accountability and teamwork in daily operations.
