Job Title: Business Relationship Manager
Overview:
The Business Relationship Manager serves as the primary link between the AI team and business units across the organization. The role is responsible for gathering business requirements, prioritizing AI initiatives, supporting technology rollouts, and ensuring successful adoption and business value of AI solutions.
The role will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and Learning & Development to drive adoption, track usage and satisfaction, and address adoption risks.
Roles & responsibility:
- Own and maintain relationships with business unit stakeholders across the organization, serving as their primary point of contact for AI team engagement.
- Gather business requirements and user needs, translating them into prioritized, well-scoped inputs for the engineering team.
- Define, track, and report on adoption and usage metrics for deployed AI solutions — not just delivery status.
- Design and execute change communication and rollout plans for phased deployments, partnering with Learning & Development on training hand-off.
- Serve as the escalation point for business-unit feedback and concerns regarding AI tooling and automations.
- Identify early signals of adoption risk and drive corrective action before they surface as broader dissatisfaction.
- Facilitate prioritization discussions, bringing business context and stakeholder impact to bear on engineering roadmap decisions.
- Report adoption outcomes, business value, and stakeholder sentiment to executive leadership.
- Build and maintain a repeatable framework for onboarding new business units onto AI-enabled workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business relationship management, stakeholder management, product management, customer success, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience driving adoption of new technology or business processes.
- Experience defining and tracking adoption, usage, or satisfaction metrics.
- Experience gathering business requirements and working with technical/engineering teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple business units.
- Working knowledge of AI and automation capabilities and limitations.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment
Preferred skills and experience
- Experience in financial services, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
- Experience supporting AI, automation, or emerging technology rollouts.
- Experience managing relationships across multiple departments.
- Change management certification such as Prosci ADKAR or CCMP.
- Business analysis certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA.
- Product/program management certification such as PMP or CSPO.
