Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of Modernization for products/systems/services within a designated market, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
This role is contributing to the Service modernization in Italy and allocated countries .

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Drive the lifecycle management of service offerings and solutions, from market analysis and business case development to launch, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities within the installed base (IB) and the market to promote upgrades, retrofits, modernization programs, and other value-added service solutions that enhance customer performance and business growth.
• Act as the key interface between Product Management, Engineering, Service, Sales, and customers to translate market needs into competitive and technically sound solutions.
• Support the definition of technical specifications, solution roadmaps, pricing strategies, and portfolio positioning to address customer requirements and market trends.
• Assist Sales and Marketing teams in the launch and promotion of new offerings by preparing commercial and technical materials, supporting campaigns, customer events, trade shows, and sales enablement activities.
• Provide technical expertise during customer discussions, proposal activities, technical reviews, and opportunity development, ensuring effective positioning of ABB solutions and services.
• Develop training materials and deliver product and solution training to internal teams, channel partners, and customers to strengthen market adoption and technical knowledge.
• Foster continuous improvement, quality standards, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration while supporting customer satisfaction, lifecycle management initiatives, and long-term customer relationships.

Qualifications for the role

• You have a senior experience in similar role. The technical knowledge of ABB DCS systems and solutions is a plus.
• You have a technical background.
• You are experienced in identifying customer needs and translating them into value-added solutions, including upgrades, retrofits, and modernization opportunities.
• You have strong business acumen and market awareness, with the ability to support portfolio development, go-to-market activities, and commercial initiatives.
• You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging with customers, sales, service, and engineering stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.

Compensation Package

As part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico

Minimum annual salary: € 53.000

Variable Pay: Eligible for Sales Incentive plan and Company Productivity Bonus
