We are seeking an experienced and driven Litigation Associate to join our employment litigation team. The ideal candidate brings meaningful courtroom and deposition experience, the ability to independently manage a substantive caseload, and a collaborative spirit that strengthens the team around them. Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a robust docket of employment litigation matters from pre-litigation through trial or resolution
- Take and defend depositions with minimal supervision, including expert witnesses and corporate representatives
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions, including motions for summary judgment
- Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with supervising attorneys and clients
- Conduct legal research and produce clear, persuasive written work products
- Mentor junior associates and collaborate closely with paralegals and support staff
- Maintain direct client relationships, providing strategic counsel and regular case updates
- Monitor and manage deadlines across a high-volume docket with precision and efficiency
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing
- Licensed to practice law in the State of California
- 2–5 years of employment litigation experience (plaintiff, defense, or government)
- Proven track record of court appearances, depositions, and motion practice
- Ability to independently manage cases and exercise sound litigation judgment
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Collaborative team player with a professional and collegial approach
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing deadlines across a busy docket
- Proficiency with legal research platforms (Westlaw, Lexis) and case management software
