Bellman is responsible for providing warm, efficient, and personalized service to hotel guests upon arrival, during their stay, and at departure. The role involves assisting with luggage, escorting guests to their rooms, providing information about hotel facilities and services, and ensuring a smooth and memorable guest experience in line with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island’s luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and warmly greet guests upon arrival and departure.
- Assist guests with loading, unloading, and transporting luggage.
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain room facilities, services, and hotel amenities.
- Provide accurate information about the hotel, restaurants, pools, spa, activities, and other facilities.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements, taxis, and airport transfers when required.
- Deliver luggage, messages, packages, and other items to guest rooms promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotel entrance, lobby, bell desk, and luggage storage areas.
- Assist guests with valet parking procedures where applicable.
- Handle guest requests professionally and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate closely with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and other departments.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hotel services, operating hours, and local attractions.
- Handle guest belongings carefully and follow proper procedures for lost and found items.
- Maintain a professional appearance and comply with the hotel's grooming and uniform standards.
- Provide personalized service to VIP guests and support special occasions when required.
- Promote hotel facilities, activities, and services when appropriate.
- Report maintenance issues, guest concerns, or safety hazards to the relevant department.
- Follow all hotel policies, health and safety procedures, and security standards.
- Previous experience as a Bellman, Bellboy, Porter, Concierge Assistant, or in a similar hotel position is preferred.
- Experience in a 5-star or luxury resort is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Friendly, confident, and guest-oriented personality.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced resort environment.
- Physically fit and able to handle guest luggage.
- Strong teamwork and customer-service skills.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
