We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Commis 1 - Bakery to join our culinary team in Kochi, India. In this entry-level kitchen position, you will work alongside experienced bakers to support the daily production of high-quality baked goods. - Prepare baking ingredients by measuring, mixing, and organizing components according to established recipes and procedures
- Assist in the production of various baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Follow recipes precisely and execute baking techniques under the guidance of senior bakers
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products meet quality specifications
- Assist with portioning, packaging, and labeling finished baked goods
- Support inventory management by tracking ingredient usage and reporting stock levels
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines
- Perform general kitchen duties including cleaning equipment, sanitizing surfaces, and maintaining workspace organization
- Respond to feedback from supervisors and continuously improve baking techniques and efficiency
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and fundamental baking principles
- Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
