We are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis, specialising in breakfast service.
Working alongside our experienced chefs, you will help prepare and deliver a high-quality breakfast experience for our hotel guests. This is an opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a luxury hotel environment and contribute to a kitchen team that values quality, consistency and teamwork.
This role requires 5:30am starts, so you will need to be comfortable with early morning shifts and able to reliably travel to the hotel at this time.
What you’ll be doing...
Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to a high standard, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.
Assist with daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are ready for service.
Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked workstation.
Follow food safety, hygiene and storage procedures.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient breakfast service.
Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring every dish meets our standards.
Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and stock control as required.
Contribute to a positive kitchen culture and support your fellow team members.
A genuine passion for cooking and an interest in developing your culinary skills.
Previous kitchen experience, ideally in a hotel or busy breakfast environment.
A relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent experience.
A strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards.
Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong team focus.
Availability for 5:30am starts, including weekends and public holidays as rostered.
Reliable transport or a dependable way to get to the hotel for early morning shifts.
