Peer Recovery Specialist 24-7
Join #TeamAcenda as a Peer Champion to support the Early Intervention Support Services in Gloucester County, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Have personal experience with mental health and wellness and recovery
- Work with the Early Intervention Support Services Team to ensure individuals needing assistance achieve mental wellness through a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP)
- Operate as a strong Peer Champion liaison, and meet face to face with individuals utilizing a strength-based perspective
- Complete crisis planning as needed to decrease future hospitalizations and increase quality of daily life
- Collaborate with Acenda and Community Providers to link individuals into services needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma-Preferred Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS)
- Lived and personal experience with mental health and substance use to provide support to the persons we are engaging.
- Excellent personal communication skills in order to motivate and engage individuals, as well as being effective with linking to necessary treatment services
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
- Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
Additional Information:
- Base Pay: $20.23/hourly
- Bilingual Rate: An additional $1.50/hourly rate added to the base pay if Spanish proficient
- Schedule: Day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours (rotating schedule); 8 hour shift between the hours of 9am-7pm
- $500 Sign-On Bonus
