Packaging Operator (Nights) 0500pm-0500am - Jerome West Plant

We are currently seeking a Packaging Operator to join the Jerome West team.

Pay: $24.24 USD per hour + $1.50 night shift differential 

Shift: Rotational Night Shift, 5:00pm-5:00am; Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday one week and Wednesday, Thursday the opposite week

The Packaging Operator is responsible for packaging products in accordance with product specifications.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate, monitor, and safely start up and shut down packaging equipment and associated machinery.
• Package products according to established quality, weight, and production specifications.
• Perform required quality checks and promptly identify, correct, or report product deviations.
• Inspect packaging materials for accuracy, condition, and suitability before use.
• Monitor product coding to ensure accurate identification and traceability.
• Calibrate and monitor weight scales, metal detectors, and other required inspection equipment.
• Make computerized weight adjustments and equipment calibrations as needed.
• Operate the palletizer and stretch-wrap machine safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, basic troubleshooting, and operator-level maintenance.
• Complete production, quality, sanitation, and equipment records accurately and on time.
• Meet established production targets and document downtime or reasons goals are not achieved.
• Complete assigned sanitation duties and maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety, workplace safety, regulatory, and plant policies and procedures.
• Immediately report food safety, product quality, equipment, or workplace safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment and be willing to roll up their sleeves and do whatever it takes to be a team player.
