    Adani Welspun Exploration Limited: (AWEL)is a joint venture (JV) company between Ahmedabad-based Adani Group and Mumbai-based Welspun Group, with operations in the upstream Oil & Gas sector. Our vision is to be a key contributor to our nation’s energy needs and play a vital role in India’s Oil and Gas sector.     Job Purpose: The Lead - Completion Engineer is responsible for overseeing and executing well completion activities within Adani Welspun Exploration Ltd. This role involves designing and planning completion operations to ensure they are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and industry standards. The engineer will carry out necessary analyses to optimize well designs, assist in the preparation and evaluation of contracts, and lead collaborative efforts among multidisciplinary teams.

    Responsibilities

    Lead - Completion Engineer

    Completion Engineering and Operations:

    • Design, plan, and execute completion engineering operations to achieve well objectives on time and within budget while minimizing environmental impact.

    • Conduct engineering analyses to ensure completion designs meet well objectives efficiently, focusing on sand face completion concept selection, tubing stress analysis, and completion fluids.

    Compliance and Standards:

    • Ensure all completion activities adhere to AWEL policies and relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.

    • Carry out risk assessments for completion operations and communicate findings to relevant personnel.

    Technical Documentation and Support:

    • Assist in preparing Technical Scopes of Work for third-party services and completion rig contracts, aligned with the tendering strategy.

    • Lead technical evaluations of third-party services and completion contracts.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Organize onshore and offshore Completion Work Optimization Plans (CWOP) meetings to familiarize key personnel with completion plans.

    • Maintain computer models to track and predict key completion parameters and performance metrics.

    Post-Completion Activities:

    • Compile well recaps, including the Final Well Report, and facilitate post-well review meetings to capture lessons learned.

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive well files and performance tracking in accordance with established formats.

    Project Leadership:

    • Collaborate with various E&P disciplines to ensure effective interaction and coordination throughout the completion process.

    • Lead performance improvement initiatives, including operational scheduling, requisitions, and technical documentation preparation.

    Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

    • Develop completion operation cost estimates to support well Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) preparation.

    • Compile necessary completion engineering documentation for partner reviews, audits, and well examinations.

    Qualifications

    Education Qualification:

    Bachelor’s / master's degree in mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering

    Work Experience (Range of years):

    12-15 years of experience in well planning, design, and operations, with a proven track record in managing service providers and completion contractors effectively.

    Preferred Industry:

    Oil and Gas Industry
