    The Role

We are currently seeking a visionary and hands-on Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java and distributed systems to lead technical initiatives within our Order Management System (OMS) team in Trading!

We are building a high-performance Trading Order Lifecycle Management system designed to bridge the gap between investment intent and market execution. Our platform serves as the mission-critical link between our portfolio managers and executing brokers, ensuring every trade is executed, allocated, and reported with absolute precision, low latency, and high fault tolerance.

We’re looking for a strategic technical leader who remains deeply hands-on and is passionate about solving highly complex, ambiguous engineering challenges. You will drive the architectural vision, establish high-quality engineering standards, and work closely with product and design leadership to deliver impactful business outcomes. You will champion Agile methodologies and the adoption of AI-assisted development tools across the organization to amplify engineering delivery.

This role requires someone to work Eastern working hours.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.

    What You’ll Do

      • System Architecture: Drive the technical direction and architect highly scalable, resilient Java/Spring Boot (or Quarkus) microservices.
      • Trade Orchestration: Design the next-generation trade order life cycle logic, ensuring ultra-reliable broker connectivity and accurate allocations.
      • Data & Messaging: Architect enterprise-grade, event-driven systems and scalable data solutions on AWS using Kafka.
      • Integrations: Scale inbound/outbound connectivity across FIX, REST, and File-based interfaces for highly performant data exchange.
      • Engineering Excellence: Shape the engineering culture by mentoring teams, elevating Agile SDLC standards.
      • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate complex business requirements into actionable, scalable technical roadmaps.

    Who You Are

    • Education: B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience)
    • Experience: 8+ years of experience architecting and building complex backend distributed systems at scale.
    • Technical Stack: Expert in Java, Spring Boot, JVM tuning, and concurrency (Quarkus experience is a plus).
    • Cloud & Data: Advanced expertise in AWS cloud-native architectures, and messaging platforms like Kafka
    • Database Knowledge: Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, and data architectures
    • Modern Workflows: A champion for developer productivity, automation, and the adoption of AI-assisted development tools.
    • Leadership & Ownership: An technical leader with a strong ownership mentality, capable of driving cross-team initiatives.
    • Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and foster a collaborative, experimental culture.
    • [Preferred] Experience in Trading or Financial Services domains
    • [Preferred] Practical knowledge of the FIX protocol
    • [Preferred] Familiarity with frontend technologies (React) to support UI-related backend requirements
