What You’ll Do:

• Adena Rehabilitation Services is seeking a Casual Physical Therapist to support patient care needs at Adena Regional Medical Center, with a primary focus on consistent weekend coverage in the acute hospital setting.

• This casual position is ideal for a Physical Therapist who is looking for flexible hours while still maintaining a meaningful role in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment. The primary need is for Saturday full-day coverage, with Potential Sunday coverage based on patient volume and department needs.

• In addition to weekend acute care coverage, there may be opportunities to support weekday staffing needs in both acute care and outpatient therapy settings. Experience in outpatient adult and/or pediatric therapy is a plus, but not required.

• Primary Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist will evaluate and treat patients in the acute hospital setting, collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, support safe discharge planning, and provide therapy interventions that promote mobility, function, recovery, and assistant supervision.

• Responsibilities may include:

• Providing physical therapy evaluations and treatment in the acute care hospital setting 
• Supporting weekend therapy coverage, primarily Saturdays and volume-dependent Sundays 
• Assisting with discharge recommendations and communication with the care team 
• Promoting safe mobility, functional progression, and patient-centered rehabilitation 
• Documenting care in accordance with department, regulatory, and billing standards 
• Providing weekday support in acute care or outpatient therapy as needed and appropriate 
• Potentially covering outpatient adult and/or pediatric therapy needs based on demonstrated competence 

• Schedule Expectations

• This is a casual position with the primary need focused on:

• Saturday: Full-day acute care hospital coverage
  Sunday: Volume-dependent acute care coverage
  Weekdays: Optional/secondary coverage opportunities in acute care and outpatient therapy as needed
