Supply Chain Manager

Key Objectives:

• To ensure that they always undertake their duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• To deliver 100% achievement of the production plan by ensuring material yield and machine availability is optimised.
• To provide excellent levels of customer service always.
• To ensure that products are produced “right, first time every time”.
• To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to the company health and safety and environment polices and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation.

What the role involves:

• Ensure we have a two-week fixed production plan by having a clear understanding of multi-level scheduling in a just-in-time business.
• Ensure there is visibility of Capacity and manpower requirements on a rolling three monthly basis.
• Ensure that we source the right materials on time and in full to meet all customer orders, which in turn ensures an OTIF of no less than 95%.
• Negotiate contracts with raw material suppliers and customers for the supply of their own materials.
• Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met and minimum costs are achieved.
• Use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery.
• Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analysing performance.
• Maintain a stock inventory accuracy of no less than 95%.
• Ensure that every OTIF failure is taken to root cause and corrective actions are implemented to eliminate recurrence.
• Manage and motivate your team with the use of personal development plans, regular 121’s and quarterly performance appraisals.
• Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process.
• Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers.
• Manage and minimise the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain.
• Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain to drive net zero.
• Implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.
• Ensure that the ERP system delivers the maximum benefit to the business.
• Manage the warehouse function and staff effectively by utilizing the space available in a just in time business.

What we’re looking for:

Essential

• Be Highly analytical and well organised.
• Strong IT skills and the interest in / ability to learn new systems.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills with the ability to relay information at a level relevant to the audience.
• Strong relationship builder.
• 2 years operation experience in Supply chain management.

Desirable

• Experience in Oracle ERP system.
