AWT has the following position open in our Hauppauge, NY location:
The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, Hours are - 2pm-10:30pm. Additional days and hours may be necessary due to production requirements.
Required Job Duties
Include but not limited to:
- Reports directly and is fully accountable to the Supervisor, Leaflet Production and/or Label Control Lead Operator(s).
- Proficiently operate label printers, scanners, inline inspection equipment, and affiliated software.
- Scrutinize through the print output of printed labels.
- Ensure all applicable paperwork is completed diligently according to GDP and cGMP standards – before, during, and after production.
- Navigate through numerous electronic files and adjust format and file names appropriately.
- Change the heat-transfer ribbons applicably to comply with each print job’s specifications.
- Complete all work assignments as directed in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Organize and clean the work area after each print job to avoid cross-contamination of other production jobs.
- Interact respectfully with all interdepartmental associates and Management.
- Maintain all production paperwork, files, and other records proficiently.
- Perform any other duties or tasks on an as-needed basis as requested by Management in a comprehensive manner.
Position Title – Label Control Operator
Position Summary – The basic function of the Label Control Operator is to print onto clinical labels while harmonically utilizing innovative scanning software, when applicable. All printed output must be produced efficiently and proficiently with concise and continuous quality, in full accordance with the requested specifications.
Experience/Job Requirements
- High School or General Education Degree, college a plus.
- cGMP and/or some quality-related experience preferred.
- A minimum of average knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PC skills.
- Ability to work flexible work hours, if needed, including overtime.
- A demonstrated detail-oriented worker.
- Math: The ability to perform business math computations with and without a calculator.
- Language: Must be able to communicate well in English verbally and in writing.
- Mechanical: Able to operate all office equipment.
- Spatial: Must have excellent eyesight, hearing, and depth perception.
Training
- Specific training is given for the first thirty days, but not limited to those thirty days.
- Ongoing GMP training and SOP training will be conducted as needed.
- All training seminars are to be documented and signed by instructor and attendees.
- All new procedures will have a formal training session prior to being utilized by AWT Labels & Packaging, Healthcare.
Measures of Performance
- All assigned orders are produced on time and properly executed, including the associated paperwork.
- All departmental operating procedures are being followed.
- Errors in the work are held to an acceptable level.
- Any major obstacles and/or issues are promptly brought to the attention of the Supervisor, Leaflet Production and/or Label Control Lead Operator(s).
- Demonstrate accountability when appropriate and quickly learn the corrective steps to avoid repetitive errors or inaccuracies.
- Continuously perform as a team player, while helping others appropriately.
