Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in electrical distribution, energy automation, protection systems, or commissioning. Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 103, and similar standards. Advanced knowledge of protection IEDs, including Schneider Electric solutions (VAMP, SEPAM, MICOM, Easergy, Tesys) and other vendors such as ABB, Siemens, and SEL.
Experience with power metering devices, relay programming, and commissioning of advanced protection relays. Proven experience with GOOSE messaging and SCD file configuration. Strong understanding of ANSI/IEEE Standard Device Function numbers. Experience preparing communication files for SCADA systems and performing signal and loop testing with EMCS and switchgear. Knowledge of protection engineering standards, tools, procedures, and industry best practices.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities.
