First Team Scout - Italy

Location:

Must reside in Italy and show proficiency in both English and Italian. To provide scouting coverage of designated regions and leagues through live and video observation, in order to provide AFC Bournemouth with potential future targets for recruitment.  Be proactive and resourceful in identifying and assessing high potential players and relevant targets within your designated region  Provide efficient and in-depth assessments of all players assigned to you by the Head of Recruitment Operations or Head of Scouting  Be proactive in highlighting and attending high value live fixtures within your region  Undertake research and provide market insights on players of interest that can contribute to final dossiers in the latter stages of the recruitment process  Compile video clips to highlight the Strengths, Areas for Development and Considerations for any player on a Shortlist recommendation and above from within your allocated region  Maintain and develop a network of contacts that can support the identification and recruitment of targeted players  Engage with and maintain strong relationships with player agents to make sure all relevant transfer information is up to date  Support the observation of international tournaments and fixtures as assigned by the Head of Recruitment Operations or Head of Scouting  Ensure that relevant targets are identified and elevated efficiently, and up-to-date positional shortlists are maintained  Develop strong relationships with counterparts in regions outside of your own to allow efficient information sharing across the department  Play a supporting role in identifying high potential players and market opportunities for clubs in the Black Knight group  Support the cross referencing of players of interest across regions outside of your own  Contribute positively within individual and group recruitment meetings  As a member of staff to ensure in all matters, you follow and actively promote the club’s mental health policies and practices to ensure an open, non-judgmental and inclusive environment for everyone engaged with the club.  As a member of staff to ensure that you to adhere to the club’s safeguarding policies and procedures and are committed to our safeguarding values, creating a safe and positive environment for all those who interact with the club.  Obligation to adhere to the club’s health and safety policy and procedures.  Responsibility to comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc.

Essential  Must reside in Italy and show proficiency in both English and Italian  Have held a Scouting & Recruitment role at an elite club, within the defined region  Be an expert across all relevant levels of football within your allocated region and expertise in identifying talent  Have access to a strong network of key agents and club contacts within your designated region Demonstrate excellent knowledge of internal players and the level of the Premier League  Be computer literate and have a level of proficiency in the use of appropriate platforms and video software such as Wyscout, Scoutastic, Hudl and Sportscode  Show an understanding of the transfer market and associated regulations  Proficient in English and the native language of your designated region Desired  Completed the FA Talent ID Level 3 or Above  Person Specification Demonstrate a drive and an enthusiasm to uncover footballing talents in your designated region before our competitors  Have high level report writing skills and the ability to clearly convey opinions and provide detailed assessments on players Show an upbeat and positive outlook to tasks and a willingness to go the extra mile Be a confident and effective communicator across all levels  Be comfortable independently managing busy schedules and workloads  Remain adaptable to work within a rapidly changing environment  Represent AFC Bournemouth in a positive and professional light in all settings
