Partner Relationship Specialist - Malay Speaker

We are seeking a driven and proactive Partner Relationship Specialist to become part of our expanding Business Development team. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for newly registered partners, responsible for evaluating potential leads, engaging them early, and supporting them through the initial onboarding process. The main goal of this role is to turn qualified prospects into active partners, while ensuring a smooth, high-quality experience before transitioning them to the Partner Relationship Manager (PRM)

Responsibilities

• Reach out to newly registered prospects through calls, chat apps, and virtual meetings to drive activation into the partner program
• Deliver consistent performance against key targets such as outreach volume, meeting completion, and conversion rates aligned with business goals
• Assess and screen incoming leads by identifying their needs, goals, and suitability, while clearly explaining the company’s offerings and partnership structure
• Guide partners through early engagement stages, building relationship momentum until they are ready for PRM ownership
• Handle a large pipeline of leads efficiently, ensuring prompt follow-ups and strong conversion opportunities are not missed
• Provide a professional and positive experience across all touchpoints during onboarding and engagement
• Keep CRM records accurate, updated, and reflective of all interactions and pipeline movement
• Recognize when a partner meets activation criteria and ensure a structured and well-communicated transfer to the assigned PRM
• Work in alignment with PRMs, Marketing, and Support/Onboarding teams to ensure consistent coordination and information sharing
• Contribute feedback on lead behavior, objections, and trends to help refine messaging, campaigns, and conversion approaches

Requirements

• Prior experience in roles such as inside sales, outbound calling, lead screening, account activation, customer service, or other high-volume client engagement positions. Experience in fintech or financial services is beneficial but not essential
• Strong communication skills across multiple platforms including phone, messaging apps (WhatsApp/Telegram), email, and online meetings
• Ability to express ideas clearly and build trust quickly with individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Proven capability in sales techniques, negotiation, and handling objections with persistence and resilience
• Track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs in a performance-driven environment
• Strong planning and multitasking abilities with the capacity to manage multiple active leads simultaneously
• Quick learner with the ability to confidently understand and present product and partnership information
• High standards of professionalism, responsibility, and ethical conduct
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural global setting
• Strong collaborator who works effectively within cross-functional teams
• Fluency in both English and Malay is essential
