Role Purpose:
The Process Analyst plays a key role in shaping and enhancing ASR's operating model by analysing how work is performed across the organisation and identifying opportunities for improvement.
The role is responsible for capturing current-state processes, designing future-state operating models, and supporting the successful implementation of business change. Through structured analysis and stakeholder collaboration, the Process Analyst helps ensure that business processes, controls, systems and ways of working evolve in line with ASR's strategic objectives, growth plans and change portfolio.
Working within the Programmes & Enablement function, the Process Analyst provides the insight and process expertise required to support transformation initiatives, improve operational effectiveness and embed sustainable change across the organisation.
Role Responsibilities:
- Capture, document and maintain business processes, operating procedures, controls and workflows, ensuring accurate and current process documentation across ASR.
- Analyse current-state processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, control gaps and opportunities for simplification, standardisation and continuous improvement.
- Design future-state processes and operating model enhancements that support business strategy, operational excellence, scalability and sustainable growth.
- Facilitate process discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews and working sessions to gather requirements, understand business needs and validate proposed solutions.
- Produce and maintain key process artefacts including process maps, operating procedures, RACI matrices, business requirements, impact assessments and process improvement recommendations.
- Assess and support the implementation of change initiatives by evaluating impacts on processes, systems, controls, data, governance and organisational responsibilities.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Change Managers and business stakeholders to ensure process considerations are embedded throughout the change lifecycle.
- Identify and manage process dependencies, risks and improvement opportunities across projects, programmes and business functions, supporting effective decision-making and prioritisation.
- Define and measure process performance through appropriate KPIs and metrics, monitoring outcomes and recommending actions to improve efficiency, effectiveness and control.
- Contribute to the development of process management standards, methodologies and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and supporting the evolution of ASR's target operating models.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
- Experience in process analysis, business analysis, operational improvement or a similar role.
- Strong process mapping, documentation and process design capability.
- Proven ability to identify and deliver process improvements and business efficiencies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience supporting business change, transformation or operating model initiatives.
- Proficiency with process mapping and collaboration tools
Desirable:
- Experience within insurance, reinsurance, Lloyd's or financial services.
- Experience supporting operating model design or organisational transformation.
- Knowledge of Lean, Continuous Improvement or Business Process Management methodologies.
- Understanding of project and change delivery frameworks.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, BCS Business Analysis, IIBA).
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
