    Job description

    Program Specialist- NOW HIRING EXPERIENCED AND TALENTED PROGRAM SPECIALISTS! Are you a true leader? Do you have experience as a supervisor? AFTER-SCHOOL ALL-STARS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU!

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    -Responsible for providing a safe and adequate program environment conducive to an enriching and intentional educational experience for students.

    -Understanding of state and federal grant requirements.

    -Oversee all aspects of day-to-day programming with the support of their Site Mentor.

    -Responsible for recruiting capable and effective program staff.

    -Maintain positive and open communication with immediate supervisor, ASAS headquarters, program personnel, school administration, faculty, parents and other stakeholders.

    -Responsible for effective program planning throughout the year including collaborating with the school day initiatives.

    -Responsible for maintaining student participation (dosage) and attendance (ADA) throughout the year via recruitment and retention activities.

    -At least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma (prefer some college education but is not required)

    -Experience working in a SUPERVISORY capacity in an afterschool, day camp, or youth-based organization REQUIRED.

    -Ability to work collaboratively with School District staff, parents and community leaders.

    -Familiarity with quality criteria for after school programs.

    -Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate sensitivity to others as well as respond to critical  incidents and act swiftly in an emergency situation.

    -Excellent organizational and managerial skills.

    -MUST pass a DOJ and FBI Background Check

    -MUST pass a TB Test

    HOURS:

    - 25 hours per week

    - Typically 5 days a week at 5 hours/day

    - Work hours are typically 1pm-6pm but can vary depending on the needs of the site.

    PAY RATE:

    - $14/HOUR
