    Purpose: The Frontier Product Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of production activities within the Frontier production area to ensure customer demand and scheduled requirements are met safely, efficiently, and on time. This position provides frontline leadership by coordinating employees, equipment, materials, workflow, quality, and production priorities to keep Frontier production lines running and maximize the timely completion of finished units. Department Coordinator serves as the primary operational leader on the production floor, and direct communication to the Production Manager any challenges or concerns. The coordinator is responsible for the execution of all Frontier and licensed product that are scheduled through department 41.

    Prerequisites:

    • Complies with all Agri-Fab policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
    • Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety and promotes safe work practices among team members.
    • Interacts in a positive, professional, and cooperative manner with coworkers, customers, and management. Directly communicate with Sales orders that are ready to ship.
    • Participates in required training and meetings, maintains compliance with annual safety training requirements.
    • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and actively contributes ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
    • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring team members follow housekeeping and 6S standards.
    • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Communicates concerns regarding safety, quality, equipment, inventory, or production issues in a timely manner.
    • Cross trains and maintain proficiency in departmental operations.
    • Works overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs. Reliable attendance.
    • Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide team members.
    • Must have a valid driver’s license to obtain a fork truck certification.

    Essential Functions:

    Leadership

    1. Leads daily team meetings and communicates safety, quality, production, and continuous improvement objectives.
    2. Assists with employee training, cross-training, onboarding, and development.
    3. Support and reinforce standard work practices throughout the department.
    4. Delegates work assignments and balances manpower to achieve departmental goals.
    5. Monitors work orders and schedule to ensure completion and department is staying up to date with facility needs. For first shift and second shift team members.
    6. Address and problem solve for any QC issues. Participates in NCR meetings.
    7. Monitors employee performance and provides coaching to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
    8. Maintains regular communication with the Production Manager regarding departmental performance, staffing needs, and operational concerns.
    9. Schedules work orders and machines to meet the needs of the customer.
    10. Communicate with outside departments to achieve goals.
    11. Manages employee time sheets, UKG, and approval of vacation.
    12. Employee coaching to ensure goals are met, regular communication to the Production Manager any issues that involve personnel or equipment. 

    Quality Assurance/Document Tracking

    1. Monitors departmental quality performance and ensures compliance with work instructions, process sheets, and customer requirements.
    2. Completes check sheets, inspection records, traceability documentation, and production paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
    3. Tracks and maintains inspection data, quality records, production metrics, and logging them in the QC folder.
    4. Identifies quality trends and supports corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
    5. Verifies parts, materials, and finished products using work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and approved quality standards.
    6. Ensures proper identification, counts, and documentation of materials moving through the department.

    Essential Technical Functions

    1. Perform setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
    2. Verify work instructions meet job requirements, working with QC to create as needed.
    3. Ensure parts arriving to the line and leaving the line are properly identified and traceability throughout production.
    4. Meet or exceed established production and quality standards.
    5. Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

    Production and Assembly Skills

    1. Parts and hardware bagging
    2. Sub-assembly
    3. Product assembly
    4. Carton packing
    5. Final packaging
    6. Palletizing
    7. Following assembly and packaging instructions
    8. Proper component alignment and placement
    9. Product identification and labeling
    10. Maintaining production flow

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    · Math & Measurement: Able to perform basic math and accurately use precision measuring tools; understand blueprints and verify parts per instructions.

    • Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicates with team members, lower-level leads, peers, and supervisors; ensures accurate, complete, and legible documentation; serves as a point of contact and spokesperson for the team.
    • Reasoning: Applies common sense and follows written and verbal instructions accurately.
    • Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identifies and uses best judgment and common since when addressing operational challenges; prioritizes multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; uses production and quality data to make educated decisions.
    • Training & Development: Supports onboarding, training, and cross-training of team members; develops team skills, reinforces adherence to standard work, safety, and quality practices.
    • Leadership Skills: professionalism and integrity; leads by coaching, training, and accountability; motivates, supports, and develops team.
    • Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; MTMS. CNC programming.
    • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical problem-solving abilities; blueprint and drawing interpretation; precision measurement and inspection techniques; basic math and geometric calculations; and knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
    • Organizational skills: Must be organized in keeping accurate data on check sheets, ability to 6s chemical check station, and have a high skill on cleanliness to ensure that all washer area and burn off stay clean of debris and other manufacturing build up.

    Physical Requirements:

      • Stands for long periods; frequently bends, lifts, or carries (up to 50 lbs.)
      • Uses basic hand tools with dexterity.
      • Has both near and distance visual acuity to inspect parts and operate machinery safely.
      • Fork truck certification required.

    Work Environment:

    This position operates in a typical factory setting that may be hot, loud, and fast-paced. Employees may be exposed to machinery noise, airborne particles, and industrial materials such as coolants, oils, and other manufacturing supplies. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and must be worn as required. The role requires the ability to work safely and effectively in these conditions for extended periods. Confined space entry consists of wet, hot conditions. 

    Work Schedule:

    • Hours: Monday – Friday, 5:30AM-3:00PM
    • Weekends: As needed to meet business needs.
    • Weekly OT: As required up to 4:30PM and as early at 5:00AM.
    • Plant- Agri-Fab Distribution Center
