AHRC NYC is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Educator. The Nurse Educator provides coordination and expertise in the creation, planning and execution of workplace education and knowledge transfer practices within the agency for medically related and/or clinical trainings.
Pay Rate: $44 per hour
Schedule: 21 hours per week .....Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Implement on-site and centralized training in broad range of compliance, safety and service-related issues, including OSHA; AMAP/AMAP Refresher; Diabetes Management; Dysphagia; First Aid; CPR; and other topics.
▪ Assist with relevant curricula development and develop/provide instruction for Train the Trainer sessions with AHRC staff.
▪ Provide instructional support to new nursing staff, as needed.
▪ Consult with program departments regarding available educational resources.
▪ Provide ad hoc on-site training and refreshers where instructional need is identified (e.g., diet consistencies, addressing swallowing issues, etc.)
▪ Participate in cross-departmental transfer of information and curricula, as directed by function manager.
▪ Participate in external trainings to stay current in compliance, safety and service-related information, techniques and requirements.
▪ Participate in special training projects as developed
