About this role

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller plays a pivotal role in our finance department, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations in the U.S. This dynamic position is designed for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities to maintain and improve our financial procedures.

Responsibilities

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and consolidation schedules.
Maintain accurate and timely general ledger records and support US GAAP reporting.
Support US payroll administration and accounting, including payroll, benefits, employer taxes, and reconciliations.
Support federal, state, local, and sales/use tax compliance with internal and external advisors.
Support accounts payable, invoicing, audit requests, and financial reporting for Global and US business functions.
Help document and improve internal controls, accounting processes, and finance systems, including NetSuite.
Assist with ad hoc analysis and special projects as the Finance organization grows.

Requirements

4-7 years of experience in an accounting role.
Strong accounting fundamentals and working knowledge of US GAAP.
Familiarity with US tax matters and payroll processes, including payroll-related accounting and taxes.
Experience supporting month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership as the only Finance team member currently based in the US.
Experience working in a global environment and collaborating effectively across countries, cultures, and time zones.
Curiosity, ownership, and willingness to grow into broader responsibilities.
Experience in a high-growth technology company.
