    Job description

    Job Summary

    Responsible for day-to-day supervision of payroll staff and payroll functions. Monitors the work of a team of payroll clerks or analysts that input payroll data and prepare payroll checks. Inputs changes to personnel information or tax law and overtime or bonus payments or calculations. Maintains personnel records including timesheets. Assists in the preparation and distribution of payroll-related summaries.

    Responsibilities

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent is required with at least 3 years of payroll administration experience;
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance Human Resources Management or a related field preferred.
    • Proficiency in Payroll & Timekeeping software
    • Working knowledge of major payroll processing systems.
    • Knowledge of applicable state & federal wage & hour laws.
    • Multi-state payroll processing experience.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and mentor staff.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight schedules
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality.
    • Proficiency in Word & Excel with clear written and verbal communication skills
    • Commitment to maintaining confidential information
    • Problem solving skills.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Adhere to the policies outlined in the Aimbridge Employee Handbook.
    • Oversee planning and coordinating of Payroll department functions.
    • Develop and monitor procedures necessary to accomplish payroll processing objectives.
    • Establish and maintain relationship with third-party payroll processors to ensure all Aimbridge payroll objectives are met.
    • Conduct payroll processing for all corporate personnel.
    • Process payroll deductions including liens garnishments and bonuses.
    • Submit weekly corporate overtime report to various supervisors.
    • Submit weekly spreadsheet listing properties who do not comply with payroll procedures and deadlines.
    • Oversee compliance with necessary taxing authorities and other agencies related to payroll and tax filing.
    • Order and oversee the set-up of new properties in the payroll processing system and time clocks.
    • Apply for and set new payroll tax accounts as needed.
    • Receive and distribute weekly 401(k) ACH data file to staff accountants.
    • Oversee onboarding/removal of staff from the payroll system for new or cancelled property management contracts.
    • Prepare periodic payroll related reports as requested by senior management.
    • Oversee year-end and preparation for year-end W-2's by third party payroll processors.
    • Maintain Tip Allocation Reporting in preparation for year-end processing to update W-2's and 8027 worksheets and filings.
    • Participate in payroll administration training and professional development programs.
    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintain personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
    • Other responsibilities as required by the Director of Shared Services or other supervisors.
