Job Summary
The Sourcing Manager will manage the day-to-day sourcing and distribution activities for the Food & Beverage. This will be a front-line hotel property facing role that will need to instill a shared enthusiastic commitment to exceeding expectations and driving culture for key stakeholders. This includes providing best in class support to hotels senior leadership and corporate teams. The position is charged with working closely with hotel properties suppliers and Category Management to ensure supply needs of the properties are addressed program compliance is monitored and improved and supplier performance is maintained. The successful candidate must maintain a strong working relationship with Accounting Operations and Category Management to ensure a seamless integration between departments.
Responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement Business Management Supply Chain Management MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications preferred e.g. CPSM CIPS C.P.M. or evidence of continued professional growth.
- Minimum 4 years of progressive procurement experience. Three years of experience in Food Distribution preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Procurement and fundamentals.
- Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
- Ability to build relationships with key business stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.
- Inner drive to accomplish goals and not deterred by obstacles.
- Capacity to develop innovative strategies and solutions creative problem solver.
- Analytics ability to mine data to drive in-depth analysis.
- Building and managing diverse supplier relationships.
- Interface with all levels in the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create a working environment that encourages high performance and innovation.
- Remove roadblocks to enable the delivery of procurement activities.
- Promote compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality’s code of conduct.
- Conducts negotiations (inclusive of RFx etc.) manages supplier analysis risk mitigation and selection activities.
- Execute buying and expediting activities.
- Support property transitions and onboarding activities.
- Partner with properties to improve compliance identifying the biggest opportunities and helping them improve.
- Develop and execute new growth directives to increase revenue and hotel tactical support .
- Work closely with the category management team to implement contracted programs and leverage internal tools and systems.
- Provide logistics planning and purchasing to ensure the consistency cost-effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement process.
- Ensure goods and services are obtained expeditiously and economically operational requirements are satisfied and hotel brand procurement requirements are met.
- Develop a strategy for continuous improvement of procurement processes planning vendor compliance systems training video templates forms and tools.
- Develop benchmarks and metrics including scorecards to set baseline standards and review for improvement opportunities.
- Acts as liaison between procurement department vendors hotels and leadership.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments including Accounting Operations and Category Management for the delivery of operational strategies.
- Oversee day-to-day supplier performance including gathering and analyzing vendor performance data and intervening and investigating supply and quality issues.
- Develop and deliver communications with clarity and impact ensuring consistent messaging throughout the company.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills utilizing continuous improvement techniques.
