The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and systems within a sheet metal facility. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently while supporting production efficiency and safety.
Detailed Description:
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on sheet metal fabrication equipment (press brakes, shears, CNC machines, etc.).
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Conduct preventive maintenance and document activities in the CMMS system.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.
Assist with equipment installations and improvement projects as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Preferred:
Experience with sheet metal fabrication machinery.
Familiarity with PLCs and automated systems.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
