Job Summary:

The position requires the operation and maintenance of machinery, with a focus on producing quality parts. Operators will ensure all necessary materials are available and arranged for efficient production, spot defects, and maintain production quotas. The role involves adjusting machines' regulatory devices for speed and temperature control, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Operators should have mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment and ensure quality production.

Duties/Responsibilities:

•  Requires an understanding of equipment operation and identifying and repairing simple mechanical issues.

• Operators must adjust machines to produce quality parts, either through mechanical means or computer keypad entries.

• Ensure all materials needed for operation are available and logically arranged for the production process.

• Ability to spot defects and ensure the production of quality goods.

• Produce goods efficiently according to quality standards while meeting hourly or daily quotas.

• Understand and adjust regulatory devices on machines to control speeds and temperatures for pleating various products in different materials.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

• Maintain equipment, supplies, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

• Strong writing, math, and communication skills are necessary.

• Knowledge of machine operation and maintenance, preferably gained from previous positions, is preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent is usually required.

Physical Requirements: 

• The job involves regular standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, and tasks requiring physical dexterity.
