Akuo was created in 2007. Today, it is still an independent company owned by our co-founders. Akuo has been committed to developing and operating projects that go beyond simply producing renewable energy and look to create additional social benefits for the communities in which we operate. This strategy has allowed Akuo to establish itself as one of the leading international independent producers of renewable energy in just a few short years.   As a pure player in renewable energy, Akuo has diversified itself both in terms of technologies (such as wind, solar, hydro, battery storage) and geography with 600 employees spread over 20 countries around the world. The group is headquartered in Paris, France.   Akuo is France's leading independent producer of 100% renewable electricity.
