As you consider applying, reflect on how your unique skills, passion, and vision align with our mission to innovate and energize the world responsibly.

    • Monitor turbine and site performance in real time from the site control room, using SCADA systems to track production, alarms, and faults, and escalating issues as required.

    • Respond promptly to instructions from EETC and the O&M team to adjust production levels, including ramping and curtailment, within the required timeframes.

    • Carry out turbine shutdowns and restarts in line with the site's environmental permit, including the Shutdown on Demand (SOD) protocol during the migratory soaring bird season.

    • Keep accurate shift logs and operational records of curtailment events, shutdowns, faults, and site incidents.

    • Support O&M contractors and technicians on-site, coordinating site access, permits to work, and safety requirements.

    • Follow all site health & safety, environmental, and security procedures at all times.

    • Give a clear handover to the incoming operator at shift change and escalate unresolved issues to the Site Manager / O&M Manager.

    • Technical or vocational qualification in electrical, mechanical, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

    • GWO certification

    • 2-4 years’ experience in wind farm operations, control room monitoring, or industrial/utility site operations preferred.

    • Working familiarity with SCADA systems and a basic understanding of turbine operation.

    • Willing and able to work a rotating shift roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and to be based on-site at GEZ.

    • Comfortable following strict procedures under time pressure, including curtailment windows and shutdown instructions.

    • Good spoken and written Arabic and English.
