Responsibilities
Set up and stock stations with all necessary suppliesPrepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, dairy and other food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags.Processes prepared foods for service using standard kitchen equipmentAssure that each item is cooked to the Chef and guest’s specificationsGarnish each dish properlyAdhere to instructions provide by the Head Chef, Lowes Foods manuals, and documentationMaintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, cooking equipment, prep equipment, and storage equipment both during and after serviceStock inventory appropriately and according to established standards and systemsEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, in a high quality and timely fashionAssumes responsibility for quality, food safety/sanitation and timeliness of products servedMaintain safety and sanitation throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.Provide guests service consistent with our established Purpose, Priorities, and Service Standards.Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.Perform other related duties as assigned by the management staffQualifications
Previous food preparation experience is helpful but not required.Friendly, outgoing personality.Ability to work well with others.Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.Ability to read and understand information and direction.Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.Must be at least 18 years old.Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time..
