ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead with Servant Leadership Characteristics
- Model and support the company’s vision and strategies
- Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
- Continuously build relationships throughout the department and company in order to best serve and support co-workers and employees
- Ensure the department has the tools and resources required to meet or exceed their departmental goals.
- Ensure departmental leadership is monitoring, maintaining, & communicating work center load levels.
- Work with the Plant Manager to:
- Manage the department’s labor to align with the workload demand.
- Monitor & manage manufacturing expenses to align with our cost of sales budget.
- Meet or exceed departmental goals.
- Capital requests and requirements.
- Provide leadership to department team members:
- Communicate priorities and project assignments
- Develop and implement adequate cross-training
- Provide continuing education, training and development opportunities
- Provide coaching to employees to support their growth within their position and the company
- Ensure expectations and responsibilities are known and followed
- Monitor employee performance and assist with employee performance reviews.
- One on One meetings with departmental leadership
- Frequent departmental employee meetings
- Delegate special projects
- Participate in the interviewing and selection process for department openings as needed
- Identify and implement methods for reducing costs and expenses in the department with a futuristic approach.
- Review and analyze department data and trends to make continuous improvement recommendations.
- Partner with the appropriate departments to manage work schedules
- Respond to emergency situations during and after standard hours to resolve issues that may arise
- Set & define yearly departmental goals
- Prepare for and participate in the development and preparation of capital requisition projects
- Partner with various managers and teams to continuously analyze and ensure the quality of aluminum extrusions meets Company/Customer standards
- Support and improve quality systems and expectations
- Partner with other Alexandria Industries facilities to manage workload, labor, best practices, & transfer work.
- Review and submit employee time sheets bi-weekly and PTO requests as needed
- Plan and prepare yearly merit increases based upon the approved budget (Including departmental leadership & HR)
- Willingness to learn and understand all functional areas within the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Experience:
- Servant leadership experience (required)
- CNC machining experience (helpful)
- Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to recognize & correct safety concerns
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members
- Ability to take part in continuous education and training
- Ability to interact at a high level with all levels of the organization
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in every situation
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing operational flow
- Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions

The anticipated pay range for this position is $80,000 - $119.616 annual. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
