This role offers incredible end-to-end exposure across the entire mining value chain. Rather than being stuck in a single niche, you will be involved in everything from conducting and managing bench and pilot scale testing to data analysis and interpretation, flow-sheet development, R&D, and client management.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

Essential

• Solid foundational understanding of mineral processing and metallurgical principles.   
• Practical ability to conduct metallurgical testwork (e.g., comminution, beneficiation, flotation, gravity concentration, or hydrometallurgy).   
• Capability to compile raw data, calculate mass balances, and evaluate metallurgical recoveries.   
• Ability to maintain accurate sample tracking documents, physical test logs, and auditable laboratory records. 

Required Competencies

• Highly organized with strong communication skills to deliver clear instructions and testing summaries.   
• Works well collaboratively within a team environment while executing tasks independently.   
• Able to manage competing priorities and hit project deadlines effectively.   
• Proactive approach to maintaining laboratory standards and adhering to HSE safety protocols.   
• Confident using MS Office and Google Suite tools for data calculations and analysis

Required Work Experience

• Practical experience working in a testing laboratory, technical consultancy, or plant operation environment

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (BSc) or higher (or equivalent) in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific/engineering discipline. 
• Active membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOM3, AusIMM, IChemE) is desirable.
