Part-Time HR Generalist

Nature and Scope
The Part-Time HR Generalist supports the HR team by managing key administrative and operational HR tasks. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, providing assistance across recruitment, training, and benefits administration. The position requires confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Duties
HRIMS Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records in BambooHR, entering approved employment changes and organizing supporting documents.
- Review HRIMS records for missing or inconsistent information, correct routine errors and refer matters requiring an HR decision to the Senior Manager, HR.
- Support HRIMS forms, workflows and user access, and assist employees and managers with routine system questions.
Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding tasks in BambooHR and follow up with managers and payroll on outstanding items.
- Maintain leave, training, certification and policy acknowledgement records, following up on missing or expiring items.
- Share approved employee changes with payroll and benefits contacts as needed.
Reporting and HR Support
- Prepare HRIMS reports for review by the Senior Manager, HR and identify recurring data or workflow issues.
- Assist with recruitment administration, including interview scheduling and candidate communications, and provide other related HR support as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Completed a diploma or certificate in Human Resources or a related field.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with HR software (HRIMS) and Microsoft Office Suite is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
