Position Summary

The Ward Clerk / Receptionist plays a vital role in supporting daily operations by greeting visitors, answering phones, assisting residents and families, and providing administrative support to clinical and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, residents, families, and vendors in a professional manner.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
• Maintain resident records and assist with clerical duties.
• Manage incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and correspondence.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate facility communications as needed.
• Support nursing and administrative staff with data entry, filing, and document management.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Ensure the reception area remains organized and welcoming.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, or healthcare clerical experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications.
• Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting is a plus.
