Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Point Guard in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with drivers, visitors, and team members. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting smooth operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access at entry points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and shipments in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
