Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Emergency Readiness in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a professional environment through routine inspections, timely reporting, and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense billing operations location.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor, employee, and contractor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, office areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
