We are seeking a proactive, collaborative Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources Team at our Calgary Shop.     What We’re Looking For From You – If this describes you, we'd love to meet!

    • Minimum 2+ years of full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition experience (experience in oil & gas, shop fabrication, or industrial construction preferred).
    • Proven track record partnering directly with shop supervisors, superintendents, and foremen to forecast hiring needs, analyze skill mix, and formulate operational crews.
    • Demonstrated success leveraging social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and job boards to build employer brand awareness and source passive candidates.
    •  Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with confidence when guiding hiring managers and candidate pools.
    •  Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), candidate databases, and Google Workspace / G-Suite tools.
    • C Strong knowledge of employment standards and a structured approach to candidate onboarding, including executing 30, 60, and 90-day retention check-ins.

    Duties & Accountabilities:

    Full-Cycle Recruitment & Sourcing

    • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all shop, trade, hourly, and salaried positions—from requisition intake and job posting to candidate screening, interviewing, and offer delivery.
    • Develop and execute innovative candidate attraction strategies across job boards, industry networks, and trade-specific channels.

    Crew Formulation & Strategic Workforce Planning

    • Partner directly with shop and project supervisors to analyze operational demands, evaluate skill-mix ratios, and strategically assemble balanced, high-performing crews.
    • Collaborate with leadership to forecast quarterly manpower needs and build active talent pipelines for upcoming project ramp-ups.

    Social Media & Employer Branding

    • Maintain an active recruitment presence on social media channels to highlight company culture, promote career opportunities, and engage top-tier talent.

    New Hire Engagement & Retention (30 / 60 / 90 Day Follow-Ups)

    • Lead structured 30, 60, and 90-day check-ins with new hires and their supervisors to evaluate crew integration, identify training gaps, and drive long-term retention.

    Supervisor Coaching & Hiring Support

    • Guide and coach hiring managers on behavioral interviewing techniques, selection criteria, and fair evaluation standards.
    • Maintain accurate recruitment analytics (time-to-fill, candidate pipelines, source quality) within the ATS to continuously refine talent strategies.
