Design Coordinator - Americas

Role:

We are seeking a passionate Design Coordinator to join our design team, reporting to the Director of Design & Technical Services based in our Miami Corporate Office. This role plays a critical part in supporting the development and design process, ensuring the seamless implementation of Aman’s standards and brand objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to superior design strategies and technical solutions, helping translate design intent into exceptional built outcomes that reflect Aman’s commitment to excellence, refinement, and timeless design.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers, architects, designers, and multidisciplinary consultants to advise on and implement brand-required design direction across various hospitality projects and programs.

• Assist in reviewing design consultant submitted drawings and specifications

• Attend project coordination workshops, ensure adherence to brand standards, and assist design and engineering consultant teams to develop the approved project design through to the working drawings

• Develop and track project schedules

• Support the tracking and follow-up of design and construction action items identified during and after site visits.

• Collaborate with internal team members, corporate stakeholders, and external project teams to coordinate design requirements, deliverables, and documentation exchanges.

• Produce meeting minutes, presentations, and reports.​

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in design or architecture is required
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an architecture designer or interior designer, design coordinator or in a related role
• Familiarity with hotel, residences and project delivery. Design background with hotel operator preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, additional languages desirable
• Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity and interest in office management systems and procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office, knowledge of Bluebeam Revu is desirable. Tech savvy and up to date with the latest office applications
• This position does not attract visa sponsorship. Candidates must already have existing permission to live and work in the USA. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required as part of the recruitment process
