    About the Team

    When you join the Finance team, you’ll be joining the cornerstone of our operations, providing crucial guidance and governance to support ARTC's strategic objectives. The team is actively engaged in internal planning to enhance our strategic planning, risk management, and decision-making processes.

    About the Opportunity

    You will be supporting the business through the strategic procurement, logistics and storage of reactive maintenance spares in order to maximise network availability for our external customers.
    Areas of responsibility include;

    • Management of Stock Line Refill replenishment across the Hunter Valley and central NSW, which includes the physical picking & packing of materials
    • Day to day safe operation of ARTC Plant & equipment, including vehicles & forklifts
    • Managing the receipt and safe storage of all inventory products upon delivery to the Telarah Distribution Centre
    • Ability to travel & perform bi-annual stocktakes at inventory locations as per the Inventory Stocktake Procedure
    • Maintaining the integrity of the ERP system by ensuring a high degree of stock accuracy and effective stock management practices
    • Liaising with the Supply Operations Lead in establishing the minimum/maximum replenishment settings for Catalogue Products at both the Telarah Distribution Centre and remote Provisioning Centres
    • Assisting the planning teams with storage & logistics of materials required for capital upgrade projects
    • Supporting end users in finding the correct Catalogue Products for their maintenance activities
    • Ensuring that procurement Supply Agreements are effectively utilised

    What do we want from you?

    Essential Criteria

    To ensure success in this position, applicants will ideally be able to demonstrate:

    • Inventory experience in a similar role, ideally in Supply Chain & Logistics or Warehouse Management
    • A goal driven outlook, with pride in excelling set KPI’s
    • The ability to work as both part of a small team & autonomously when required
    • Attention to detail, especially regarding purchase orders, delivery dockets & invoice matching
    • Purchasing experience in high value & often long lead time environments
    • Competency in the understanding & use of ERP systems
    • Strong communication skills using Microsoft Outlook, a demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel & Adobe
    • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
    • The ability to fully understand, promote and monitor compliance of ARTC policy and procedure
    • Experience in the setting & maintaining of stock reorder points
    • Experience in booking, loading & unloading of freight providers
    • A sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements

    Desirable Criteria

    The following experience, qualifications or knowledge, would be advantageous:

    • Hold a current High Risk Work forklift licence or experience in operating machines with 16 Tonne lifting capacity
    • Firsthand experience with ERP system Technology One - Ci Financials
    • Knowledge of railway materials
    • Experience working in heavy industrial industries
    • Experience working in highly regulated engineering environments
    • Experience in a multi-site inventory role

    Qualifications

    • Hold a current C Class motor vehicle driver’s licence
    • Hold a current High Risk Work Licence with 2 years minimum experience
    • Year 12 Graduate or relevant work experience
    • TAFE qualification in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or related discipline (desirable, but not essential)
